What is Numerology?

Numerology is the study of the symbolism and significance of numbers.

It has been practiced for centuries and is believed to reveal insights into our personalities, life path, and future.

In this post, we'll explore the basics of numerology and how you can use it to unlock your own personal power.

Understanding the Basic Principles of Numerology

In numerology, each number has a specific vibration and meaning.

These vibrations can be used to gain insight into different aspects of our lives.

Let’s look at a quick breakdown of the basic principles of numerology.

Life Path Number

This number is calculated using your birthdate. It’s believed to reveal your life purpose and the lessons you need to learn in this lifetime.

Expression Number

Using the letters in your full name, this number is calculated. And it is associated with your natural talents and abilities.

Destiny Number

This one uses the same method as Expression Number; using the letters in your name to calculate. It represents your ultimate destiny and the path you are meant to take.

Soul Urge Number

Calculation for this number is a bit different from others. It uses only the vowels in your name and it is believed to show your deepest desires and motivations.

Using Numerology in Your Life

Now that you understand the basics of numerology, let’s see how can you use it to enhance your life.

Discover Your Numbers

Calculate your life path number, expression number, soul urge number, and destiny number to gain insight into different aspects of your personality and life path.

Pay Attention to Number Patterns

Keep an eye out for repeating number patterns such as 111, 222, or 333, or seeing the same number repeatedly, for example, 123, 1010, 654, etc.

These patterns can be messages from the universe and may offer guidance or support.

Use Numerology in Decision Making

When faced with a tough decision, consider the numerological meaning of the options available to you.

Suppose that you're considering a new job offer.

Before you accept the offer, calculate the numerology of the job title, company name, and salary to gain insight into whether it's the right choice for you.

Hello, beautiful souls!

Have you checked out the latest trend on TikTok, the viral Lucky Girl Syndrome?

If you're an active TikTok user, you might have stumbled upon the hashtag #luckygirlsyndrome, the latest manifestation trend that has taken the platform by storm.

According to the trend, Lucky girl syndrome involves the use of manifestation techniques such as positive thinking and affirmations to attract good things in life.

For example, if you repeatedly say phrases like "I'm so lucky" and "everything works out for me", you can manifest their desires into reality.

Let’s look at what this is actually about.

Related post: How to manifest with water

What is Lucky Girl Syndrome?

Lucky Girl Syndrome is about attracting things you want such as good luck, money, and love by repeating mantras and truly believing that things will work out for you.

While this practice is in the same spiritual family as manifestation, it's slightly different.

This is about raising your vibration into a more positive or higher frequency.

When you're navigating life at a higher frequency, good things start to happen because you're more open to them.

The Lucky Girl Syndrome trend is also considered an offshoot of the law of assumption which is a theory developed by New Age Philosopher Neville Goddard in the 1940s and 50s.

This theory posits that if we believe we have something, we will eventually get it.

Some science backs up this theory and it's centered around the reticular activating system (RAS), a network of neurons in the brain stem that makes up a filtering system in your mind.

By assuming positive outcomes, you activate your RAS to look for the best possible outcome.

Can Lucky Girl Syndrome work?

Experts say it can. However, it's important to start small and focus on gratitude for what you have.

This theory does not discount the unpredictability and difficulty of life, and bad things can and do happen to everyone.

What Lucky Girl Syndrome does encourage is taking a general glass-half-full approach to life.

Currently, there is no research on lucky girl syndrome but some studies have explored the concepts surrounding the phenomenon.

Positive affirmations, for instance, can help improve self-esteem and increase positive thinking, but their effect on tangible success is inconclusive.

Research suggests that optimistic thinking may foster the ability to adapt to change and handle adverse events better.

But it’s important to be aware that unrealistic optimism and toxic positivity can sometimes lead to disappointment, regret, and isolation.

Experts recommend that people practice mindfulness, self-compassion, and gratitude while working with Lucky Girl Syndrome to develop a more balanced and realistic perspective on life.

If you want to try the Lucky Girl Syndrome, I would like to recommend you incorporate this Lucky Syndrome Meditation in your practice.

Conclusion

While manifestation and positive thinking are not new concepts, Lucky Girl Syndrome has gained a surge in popularity since the pandemic began in 2020, especially for people seeking to take back their power amidst times of uncertainty and hopelessness.

Many claim that the practice has helped them attract good fortune but some experts have warned the possible dark sides, also.

So, don’t be too extreme, go with the flow and let the Lucky Girl Syndrome work for you.

Have you tried Lucky Girl Syndrome? How is your experience? Let me know in the comment section.

Hello, beautiful souls!

If we analyse a typical tarot deck which has 78 cards, we can divide it into three parts – 22 cards in major arcana, and 40 numbered cards and 16 court cards in minor arcana.

In this article, I will talk about the women and men on throne in major arcana which are The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, and Justice of major arcana.

If you are interested in learning tarot, you can book a tarot training session with me.

What is the Major Arcana?

The Major Arcana represent the bigger picture, fate, major issues, lifelong dreams, and long-term situations in someone’s life.

In traditional tarot decks, the Major Arcana is ordered numerically from 0 to 21, usually indicated by Roman numerals.

You can easily figure out which cards are Majors if you have a traditional deck like Rider Waite; they have a roman numeral at the top and a title such as “The Empress” on the bottom.

Most modern tarot decks which have 78 cards also use the same order of cards for the Major Arcana.

Let’s look at the order.

0. 0 The Fool

1. I The Magician

2. II The High Priestess

3. III The Empress

4. IV The Emperor

 5. V The Hierophant

 6. VI The Lovers

7. VII The Chariot

8. VIII Strength

9. IX The Hermit

10. X The Wheel of Fortune

11. XI Justice

12. XII The Hanged Man

13. XIII Death

14. XIV Temperance

15. XV The Devil

16. XVI The Tower

17. XVII The Star

18. XVIII The Moon

19. XIX The Sun

20. XX Judgement

21. XXI The World

This order is often called "The Fool's Journey." The Fool is the traveler pictured in the card number ‘0’ of the major arcana.

If we put ourselves in the place of The Fool, the order becomes phases in our lives; our journey, no matter how short or how long, and no matter what aspect the journey takes place on: physical, spiritual, mental, or emotional.

Let me know in the comment section if you want me to write an article on The Fool’s Journey.

Women and Men on Throne in the Major Arcana

If you ask me why I am not going according to the order, well, I created my own learning system.

When I first started learning and memorising the meaning of tarot cards traditionally, it was really challenging for me. Maybe it won’t be a difficult task for you but sure it was for me.

So, I created different categories and put the cards under those categories and well it made my tarot learning journey a lot easier. ‘Women and Men on Throne’ is one of those categories.

Now, I want to share the system for the tarot learners who are facing the same problem as I had before.

The High Priestess

Ladies’ first. We will start with The High Priestess which is ‘II’ in the order.

The High Priestess card is associated with the planet Moon. The High Priestess is feminine and deep. It represents mystery, hidden knowledge, secret, subconscious, intuition, wisdom.

When this card arrives in a tarot reading, the message is to follow your gut. Listen to your inner voice. No need to seek answers from others.

It can also mean some things are hidden from your sight and are not meant to be revealed at this time.

The answers will come later when the time is right. There is no need to take action. Trust the divine timing and see what unfolds.

If the card is reversed, it means you are focusing on the external environment instead of your inner wisdom. This reversal can also mean that you are too active and you need to take on the passive route.

So, do you usually go with your logic? Or with your gut? Let me know in the comment section.

The Empress

Ok, another lady on throne, The Empress, No. III card in the Major Arcana.

The Empress card is associated with the planet Venus. The Empress is motherly but powerful.

This card represents abundance, rewards, power, fertility, motherhood, pregnancy, birth, marriage and commitment, and emotional stability.

When this card arrives in a tarot reading, normally it means that everything you're working on is bearing sweet fruit; the rewards are coming; all the powers are with you and you can create whatever you want.

It can also mean that you are nurturing and passionate.

When the card is reversed, it is telling you that you are acting as an overprotective mother, or you are not taking good care of those who are under your wing or whatever you are looking to create.

Another possible meaning is that you are working on a barren land or a hopeless project.

Not, let’s move to the men.

The Emperor

The first one is No. IV The Emperor.

The Emperor card is associated with the astrological sign Aries. The Emperor is serious and disciplined. Unlike his female counterpart, The Empress, there is nothing soft about him.

The Emperor represents powerful father figure, authority, leader, boss, and law.

When in upright position, it indicates you are in authority or you are dealing with authority figures. You are taking somber approach in your situation and laying a secure foundation for the future.

It might also mean that things are about to get serious.

When in reverse, it represents you are losing grip on things which should be under your control or you are running from responsibility.

It also symbolizes trouble with authority figures.

The Hierophant

Another card in this category is No. V, The Hierophant. The Hierophant is associated with the astrological sign Taurus.

Though this card is not entirely about religion, in some interpretations, it does have something to do with religion and spiritual realm.

If it’s in upright position in a reading, it is telling you to follow the rules and systems, uphold the status quo and respect the tradition.

This card also indicates the male teacher, mentor, wise elder, spiritual leader, spiritual ceremony and guidance.

When this card is in reversed, the advice is to forget about social norms and traditions, create your own path and walk on it.

Justice

Justice card is depicted as both male and female depending on the deck. It is No. XI in the major arcana. This card is associated with the zodiac sign Libra.

This card represents fairness, decisions, settling debts, weighing the pros and cons, legal related matters.

Justice also represents ‘you reap what you sow’, in other word, karma. It shows what you're experiencing now is the consequences of your past actions, be it good or bad.

Another interpretation is that when this card is up in a reading, it advises you to be mindful of your about-to-be-made decisions. Think about pros and cons seriously.

If this card is in reverse, it can indicate unfairness, injustice, illegal activities, and poor decisions. Depending on the surrounding cards, it may serve as a warning for you if you are up to no good!

It says “turn your horse around before bad karma comes down.”

Conclusion

This is the end of Women and Men on Throne category. I believe now you know the meaning of The High Priestess, The Empress, The Emperor, The Hierophant, and Justice of major arcana.

I will be talking about the second category of major arcana in another article. See you soon.

Always,
The Moon

Hello, beautiful souls!

Do you know we can manifest our desires with water? Let’s talk about it.

Water is a powerful element that has been used for centuries for healing and manifestation.

It is a symbol of abundance, purity, and transformation. It can also be used to amplify our intentions and desires.

Here are some tips for manifesting with water:

Book a Manifestation Counselling Session to transform your dreams into realities.

Set Your Intentions

Before you start using water for manifestation, it's important to set your intentions.

Think about what you want to manifest and write it down in detail. Be specific about what you want.   And, focus on how you want to feel when your desires become your reality.

Use Water for Cleansing

Water is a natural cleanser that can help you release negative energy and emotions.

Take a bath or shower. Imagine the water washing away any negativity or blockages that are preventing you from manifesting your desires.

Or, you can use a bowl of water and a washcloth to cleanse your hands and face while imagining.

Charge Water with Your Intentions

Water can be charged with your intentions and used as a powerful tool for manifestation.

Fill a glass or bowl with water and hold it in your hands. Visualize your desires and imagine them flowing into the water.

Alternatively, you can write your intentions on a piece of paper and place it under the bowl or glass to charge the water.

Pour the water to a plant after your visualization.

Drink Water Infused with Intentions

Drinking water that has been infused with your intentions can help you align your energy with your desires.

Get your favourite glass or bottle; fill water in it and write your intentions on a piece of paper. Place the paper under the glass or bottle and let it sit for at least an hour.

Drink the water and focus on your intentions while you do so.

Meditate by Water

Water has a calming effect and can help you connect with your inner self.

Find a body of water such as a lake or stream and sit near it. Close your eyes and breathe deeply focusing on your desires.

Imagine your intentions flowing into the water and visualize them manifesting in your life.

Conclusion

Manifesting with water is a simple yet powerful technique that can help you align your energy with your desires.

Setting your intentions is the very first of your manifestation process.

After that, use water for cleansing, charge water with your intentions, drink water infused with intentions, and/or meditate by water.

You can harness the power of water for manifestation in no time.

So, embrace the power of water and manifest the life of your dreams!

Always,

The Moon

Hello, beautiful souls!

If you are reading this article, I am sure you are interested in tarot or at least you have heard of tarot.

Maybe you want to know about tarot just out of curiosity. Or maybe you are trying to become a professional tarot reader and want to learn seriously about tarot.

Whatever is your reason, first, you need to learn basic facts about tarot. It’s the same as getting to know a human friend.

OK! Just dive into the fundamental of tarot and make friends with tarot, then!

If you are interested in learning tarot, you can book a tarot training session with me.

What is tarot?

If you ask me what tarot is, I would say, tarot is a set of cards which have pictures on them that serves as a medium to receive messages from the Universe or God or Spirit Guides or whatever higher self you believe in.

If you ask someone who is not very familiar with tarot what tarot is, they might say different things like, “Ah! Tarot! You mean the cards with strange images on them.” Or something like, “Of course I know what tarot is, they are the cards witches and magicians use.”

On the other hand, if you ask a tarot expert to define the meaning of tarot, it’s another story.

Tarot expert Amber Jayanti defined tarot as “A set of pictures, acting as oracles, speakers, or messengers from the gods, goddesses, or godhead, that communicate a body of divine knowledge and purpose, eternal truths, and natural law that are a royal road or "way" to higher consciousness, also known as enlightenment.”

You see, different people answer that question differently. So, let me know how you define tarot in the comment section.

“A picture is worth 10,000 words.”

How do we interpret tarot?

There is a Chinese proverb that says, “A picture is worth 10,000 words.”

In tarot, we interpret what we see based on the pictures on the cards. Because everyone’s background such as experience, culture, environment, and belief system are different, no two people will interpret the meaning of the cards exactly the same.

But I don’t think one person’s interpretation of the cards is totally opposite of another person’s interpretation if we know the basic meaning of tarot cards.

That’s why most tarot decks come with a guide book. I will talk about the basic meaning of each tarot card in future articles.

What includes in a tarot deck?

Now, talking about tarot deck, a typical tarot deck consists of 78 cards – 22 major arcana and 56 minor arcana.

Minor arcana is made up of 4 suits which are wands, swords, cups and pentacles. Out of 56, 40 minor arcana cards are numbered from ace through ten for each suit.

The remaining 16 cards are called royal or court cards because they depict kings, queens, knights, and pages.

I will share more about these major arcana and minor arcana in upcoming articles.

What’s the origin of tarot?

You might want to know the origin of tarot.

There are a ton of myths around the history of tarot but as far as I have researched, the earliest tarot decks were discovered in Italy during the 1400s. They were hand-painted at that time.

In the 1500s, more people could get access to tarot decks due to the mass printing.

But the popularity of tarot started in the 1700s when a man named Jean Baptiste Alliete published one of the first books on tarot as a tool for divination.

And the popularity soared when Arthur Edward Waite and Pamela Colman Smith created the Rider-Waite-Smith deck in the 1900s.

By the way, if you still do not own your first tarot deck, Rider Waite tarot deck is a good choice to start your tarot journey.

The deck is beginner friendly; the cards in the deck are colorful and include a lot of symbols to interpret.

What’s the use of tarot?

Like I mentioned in the definitions, tarot is a divination tool to receive messages from other dimensions, or guidance from the higher power, or read someone’s current energy.

Tarot can be used for every area of everyone’s life; be it finance, relationship, career, education, or spirituality.

We do not need to have a supernatural power to use tarot. Everyone can learn how to use tarot but of course you need to put some effort to do it. The details for how to use it will be covered in another article.

Conclusion

Well, we have covered

  • ·         the definition of tarot
  • ·         how people interpret tarot
  • ·         what includes in a tarot deck
  • ·         origin of tarot and
  • ·         the use of tarot

We will expand the knowledge about tarot in the future articles. So, stay tuned.
